These Ancillary & Location terms apply to the general rate rules for Avis Budget Group retail rates. Retail Rate – General Terms & Conditions
The only variable elements for inclusive vs. exclusive retail rates are CDW and TP.
All mandatory charges e.g. Airport surcharge, VAT and RFR(VLF) are included in all rates (inclusive and exclusive)

Customers over 75 years are eligible to rent with the following specific conditions:
"They must drive regularly
"They must provide us with a letter from their insurance company proving that they hold a current motor insurance policy and that they have been driving without having an accident for the last 5 years.
"They must provide us with a letter from their doctor stating that they are in good health.
"They may be required to undergo a driving assessment accompanied with a Budget representative
Driving License Requirements / Restrictions:
Please confirm whether the renter needs to bring both there driving license and international driving license
Each driver must show proof of identity at the start of the rental. All drivers must present a full unendorsed driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years at the start of the rental.
In addition to this, when renting the following car groups, drivers must have been eligible to hold a valid driving licence for the number of years specified:-
Cars groups ,A,B,C,D,F,M,O,P = 8 years
Car group J = 10 years
Car groups G,I,K = 12 years
Customers with the new photo card drivers license must produce both the photo card and its paper counterpart.
Visitors from overseas must produce a driving license issued in their country of permanent residence, along with a translation in to English(where appropriate for licences in different alphabets)
Only the renters or drivers approved by Budget are permitted to drive the vehicle.
Please specify how long a renter must have held a valid driving license for: All drivers must present a full unendorsed driving licence, held for a minimum of 2 years at the start of the rental.

During Office Hours
If you are delayed and arrive outside of office hours due to a delayed flight no additional charge will apply. This only applies if you enter your flight number when booking. We will meet all scheduled flights free of charge.
If you are late we will guarantee your rental for 4 hours. After this time your reserved car may be released and rented to another customer.

If you make a Pay on Arrival booking and do not collect your vehicle a fee of EUR 40.00 will apply. If you no longer need your vehicle cancel your booking more than before the pick-up time to avoid this charge.

Smoking is not permitted in our vehicles. If you smoke in one of our vehicles you will be charged for additional cleaning costs.

We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
In the event of cancellation, any deposit amounts paid at the time of booking are non-refundable. 

If you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
